I mainly refer to this timelapse progression video
and these are some other support tutorial videos:
1st attempt for procedural scratches(for the lens loop) (on metal, *but it didn't rly work for me)
Procedural Scratches (for the lens loop) (on plastic)
Progressions:
1st Outcome:
fig: 1st outcome
There are still some imperfections, so I check the vertices and wireframe all over again and fixed some problems on the body part.
fig:2nd outcome
After fixing the wireframes, I received some feedback in the class from Mr.Kamal, to try to avoid the diagonal lines for the background, the keylight was fine but it will be better to add one more rim light on the right, and vignette to make it more dramatically.
3rd outcome:
fig: 3rd outcome
After changing the world color to a dark and cool tone, and change the light to warm light, in order to create contrast. and I change the angle, to make the horizon sits on the upper third. But after changing the angle I felt like the model is a bit too flat. So I decided to add more texture, to make it look more interesting and detailed.
4th outcome:
fig: 4th outcome
I added some rusty edgewear to show more details, I also added some bumps for the rust so it looks more real. After showing it to the lecturer, he advised that I can some scratches so it looks more natural and brighten the keylight around 20%.
